Terms

Terms & conditions.

01. Booking & Payment

Sessions are paid in full at the time of booking. The booking is only confirmed, and the date only held in the diary, once payment is received in cleared funds. Dates that are already booked are not offered in the booking calendar.

Bookings cannot be made less than 48 hours before the shoot date. For shorter notice, or for weddings, multi day shoots, and brand commissions quoted individually, please get in touch directly.

02. Cancellation by the Client

Cancellations made outside the circumstances set out in section 04 (Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances) forfeit a non refundable booking fee of 10% of the session price. The remaining 90% will be refunded within 7 working days to the original payment method.

One free reschedule is permitted if requested at least 7 days in advance, subject to availability. Subsequent reschedules incur a 10% admin fee.

03. Cancellation by the Photographer

In the unlikely event that the photographer must cancel the booking for any reason (including illness, injury, equipment failure, or other personal circumstances), the client will receive a full 100% refund of all fees paid within 7 working days. Where reasonably possible, the photographer will also assist in finding a suitable replacement photographer of similar standard, though this is not guaranteed.

04. Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances

Either party may cancel the booking without penalty in the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Death or serious illness affecting the client, the photographer, or their immediate family.
  • Serious accident or hospitalisation.
  • Bereavement requiring the client or photographer's attendance at a funeral.
  • Government imposed restrictions, public health emergencies, or lockdowns.
  • Natural disasters, extreme weather, or events that make the shoot location unsafe or inaccessible.
  • Acts of terrorism, civil unrest, or war.

In any of the above cases, where the client cancels, a full refund will be issued less any non recoverable third party costs already incurred (such as venue deposits, equipment hire, or assistant fees), with evidence provided. Where the photographer cancels, a full 100% refund is issued. Both parties agree to give written notice and supporting documentation as soon as reasonably possible.

05. Delivery

Delivery is split into two parts so clients receive both volume and polish:

  • Full gallery: all keeper images from the shoot, lightly culled to remove duplicates, test frames, and unusable shots. Delivered as high resolution files with basic colour correction applied. No heavy retouching.
  • Edited selects: the number of fully edited high resolution images included in the chosen package (20, 50, or 100+), hand picked and retouched to a finished standard.

Both are delivered through a private online gallery within 14 working days of the shoot (28 days for full day and wedding commissions). RAW files are not supplied.

Additional edits beyond what is included can be ordered at any time at £8 per image, or £150 for a batch of 25. Clients select the images they want edited from the full gallery.

06. Usage & Licensing

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client receives a personal use license for portrait, wedding, and event work. Commercial use, resale, and third party licensing require a separate written agreement and may incur additional fees. The photographer retains copyright of all images at all times.

07. Portfolio & Promotion

The photographer reserves the right to use any image from a shoot for portfolio, website, and social media purposes unless a written request to opt out is made before the shoot date. Clients may request specific images to be excluded.

08. Travel & Expenses

Travel within Greater London is included. Beyond this, mileage at 45p per mile, public transport, parking, and reasonable accommodation where required will be invoiced at cost.

09. Liability

The photographer's total liability under any booking is limited to the total fees paid by the client. No further compensation is offered for consequential loss, third party expenses, or indirect damages.

10. Image Storage

Edited galleries remain online for 90 days. Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their images within this window. Archive recovery after 90 days is available at a fee of £50.

11. Privacy & Your Data

EyezLikeLenz is the data controller for personal data collected through this site and through bookings. You can reach the controller at alexanderoyekola@gmail.com or on 07456 038901.

What is collected, and why:

  • Enquiry and booking details (name, email, phone, shoot date and brief). Used to answer your enquiry and to perform the booking contract. Lawful basis: contract, or legitimate interests where you are only enquiring.
  • Photographs of you taken at the shoot. Used to deliver your gallery under the booking contract, and — unless you opt out in writing before the shoot date, per section 07 — for portfolio and promotion. Lawful basis for promotional use: legitimate interests.
  • Advertising measurement data, only if you accept cookies. Lawful basis: consent. See section 12.

Who else sees it: the booking calendar is hosted by Cal.com, and advertising measurement is processed by Google. Both act as third parties handling data on their own terms. Images are stored in a private online gallery. Your data is not sold, and is not shared with anyone else except where the law requires it.

How long it is kept: enquiry correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with it. Booking and payment records are kept for six years, as HMRC requires of self employed businesses. Galleries remain online for 90 days as set out in section 10, after which images are retained in archive unless you ask for deletion.

Your rights under UK GDPR: you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how it is used, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these, email the address above.

If you think your data has been handled improperly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or on 0303 123 1113. You are welcome to raise it directly first, but you do not have to.

12. Cookies

Nothing that requires your consent is stored on your device until you accept it. When you first arrive you are asked to accept or reject advertising cookies, with both options offered equally, and rejecting changes nothing about how the site works.

Cookies and similar storage used on this site:

  • _gcl_au — set by Google Ads to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry. Lasts 90 days. Only set if you accept.
  • ell-consent — remembers whether you accepted or rejected, so you are not asked on every page. Stored in your browser, does not expire until cleared. Exempt from consent because it exists solely to record your choice.
  • ell-theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Stored in your browser, set only when you use the toggle.

This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, and loads the Cal.com booking widget when you interact with a booking button. These are third party services that receive your IP address in order to respond.

Changing your mind: use the link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same choice, and rejecting there also deletes any advertising cookies already set. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as accepting was.

13. Acceptance

Payment for a booking constitutes acceptance of these terms in full. Any variations must be agreed in writing.
